CNA/PCA
Major Responsibilities:
Care for residents under the direction and supervision of the Wellness Director. Some responsibilities include:

Take and record vital signs

Measure and record height and weight, intake and output
-
Care for the resident's environment
-
Assist with bathing, grooming, and toileting
-
Assist with eating and hydration
-
Observe resident's skin when administering care and report changes to Wellness Director; provide skin care as needed
-
Meet resident's mental health and social service needs
-
Know residents and their Care Plans
-
Know the details of the medications administered to residents
-
Follow Residents Rights at all times
Required Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:
-
If applying for CNA
-
Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Michigan
-
Unencumbered by any licensing or state violations
-
Must have BLS certification
-
If applying for PCA
-
High School graduate/GED
-
Must have BLS certification
Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise:
-
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
-
Must be able to safely lift, transfer and ambulate residents
-
Must possess psychosocial skills to be able to interact effectively with residents, staff, families and visitors
-
Ability to handle multiple priorities
-
Long Term Care for at least 2 years preferred
